These terms apply to every booking with British Craft Club. By booking a workshop you confirm, on behalf of yourself and your child, that you accept them. We have kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, please ask before you book.
1. Booking and payment
Payment is required in full at the time of booking. Places are limited and only confirmed once payment has been received. If your payment is taking time to clear, please send us a screenshot of the transfer so that we can hold the place.
2. Cancellations and refunds
If we cancel a session, you will receive a full refund or may transfer to another available session, whichever you prefer. Exceptions may apply where the cancellation is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, for example a public lockdown or a national emergency.
If you cancel a monthly or drop-in booking, we are unable to offer refunds or transfers. You are welcome to send another child in your child's place, provided you give us their name and an emergency contact in advance. We do not arrange replacements or financial exchanges on your behalf.
3. Attendance and arrival
Please arrive on time so the session can start smoothly. Children may arrive up to ten minutes before the session begins. Late arrivals may miss key instructions, and sessions cannot be extended to make up for missed time.
4. Health and safety
Please tell us about any allergies, medical conditions, or additional needs at the time of booking. We use child-appropriate materials and take care to provide a safe environment. We are not liable for accidents except where caused by our own negligence.
For everyone's safety, please do not bring your child to a session if they are unwell or may be contagious. A child who becomes unwell during a session will need to be collected promptly.
5. Behaviour
We aim for a respectful, creative atmosphere. If a child's behaviour disrupts a session or poses a safety risk, we may ask for them to be collected early. In rare cases, continued participation may not be suitable; any refund in such cases is at our discretion.
6. Photos and media
Photos and videos may be taken during sessions and used to promote British Craft Club on our website, social media, and in printed materials. If you would prefer your child not to appear in any photos, please tell us in writing before the session.
7. Personal belongings
Please leave valuables at home. We are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during a session.
8. Changes to sessions
Session content may be adjusted based on group size, age range, or available materials. If the lead teacher is unavailable, a familiar substitute will run the session. Visiting artists may occasionally lead a session, with a familiar assistant teacher present where possible.
9. Communications and your data
We use the contact details you provide to send booking confirmations, session reminders, and updates relevant to your child's attendance. Booking implies consent to receive these messages. Newsletter signup and photo-usage consent are recorded separately on the booking form, and either can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us. We do not share your personal data with anyone other than the people running British Craft Club.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through our official channels. Continued participation after such notice means you accept the updated terms.
